What happens when there is no human touch or emotion in film?
My main goal of the project was to explore how AI can impact film, specifically in regards to the actors strike of 2023. I wanted to create a simplistic video, void of human emotion and action to explore how film can look and feel if made through AI. The main challenge of this project was trying to convey ai’s cold, technology touch to the video while I was still very much involved in making the video, scripts and masks.
This video focuses on how when incorporating AI into the art of filmmaking, it can create lack of human touch/emotion in film. This can give an eerie or uncomfortable feeling also known as uncanny valley.
